Timberland has agreed to pay $7 million to settle a text message-related class-action lawsuit.
Mobile consumers that received at least one text message from Timberland advertising products, http://www.timberland.com, between January 1, 2003 and August 1, 2008 should check and see if a $150 cash payment is in their future.
Timberland strongly denies any wrong doing, but did settle quite fast to avoid further press and litigation.
