An overwhelming percentage of mobile messaging users admit to engaging in inappropriate or even dangerous behavior to access and respond to email during off hours according to a new consumer study conducted by Osterman Research and commissioned by software firm Neverfail.
Mobile addiction has driven:
- 96 % never leave their phones at home, even on vacation.
- 94 % of respondents use phones to send email or text messages on work nights or weekends.
- 79 % of respondents to send messages from their phones while in the bathroom.
- 71 % admitted texting behind the wheel of a moving automobile.
- 41 % texted on commercial flights while the plane was in mid-air.
Interesting. Strange to hear that people text while driving their car. Must be only while waiting at a stop light.
